Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using Homework Practice. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Homework Practice (the “Service”), available at homeworkpractice.com and any associated mobile applications, you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) enter into a legally binding agreement with Connectsum Social Networks Pvt. Ltd. (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”), together with our Privacy Policy, govern your use of the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any modification to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
Age requirement. You must be at least 13 years old to create an independent account. Users under 13 may only use the Service through an account created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
Accurate information. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering and to update it promptly if it changes. Providing false information may result in immediate termination of your account.
Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at legal@homeworkpractice.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
One account per user. You may not create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes or to circumvent any suspension or termination.
3. Description of Service
Homework Practice is an online educational platform that provides adaptive learning tools, practice exercises, assessments, progress tracking, and curriculum resources for students in Grades 1–12. The Service is available to parents, students, teachers, and school administrators.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only, unless you hold a valid institutional or commercial licence from us.
4. Subscription Plans & Payments
Free & paid plans. Certain features of the Service are available free of charge. Advanced features may require a paid subscription (“Subscription”). Subscription pricing, billing cycles, and features are displayed on our pricing page and are subject to change with 30 days' notice.
Billing. By subscribing, you authorise us (or our payment processor) to charge the designated payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). All fees are in Indian Rupees (INR) or as otherwise stated.
Taxes. All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes (including GST where applicable). You are responsible for paying all taxes associated with your Subscription.
Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as stated in our Refund Policy. Requests for exceptional refunds may be directed to legal@homeworkpractice.com.
Cancellation. You may cancel your Subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access until then.
Failure to pay. If a payment fails, we may suspend your access to paid features until payment is resolved.
5. Educational Content & Intellectual Property
Our content. All content available on the Service — including but not limited to curriculum materials, practice questions, assessments, worksheets, text, graphics, software, and branding — is owned by or licensed to Connectsum Social Networks Pvt. Ltd. and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
Licence to users. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the educational content solely for your personal, non-commercial learning purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or exploit any content without our prior written consent.
User-generated content. If you submit questions, notes, or other content to the Service (e.g., teacher-created questions), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service. You represent that you own or have the right to grant this licence.
Feedback. Any suggestions or feedback you provide regarding the Service may be used by us without any obligation to you.
6. User Obligations & Prohibited Conduct
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:
- Share, sell, or sublicense your account credentials to any third party.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Upload or transmit any malware, viruses, or malicious code.
- Engage in scraping, data mining, or any automated extraction of content from the Service.
- Use the Service to harass, bully, or harm any other user, particularly minors.
- Impersonate any person or entity, including teachers, school administrators, or Company staff.
- Cheat, falsify assessment results, or manipulate the platform to misrepresent student performance.
- Post, transmit, or share any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Use the Service for commercial tutoring or test-preparation businesses without a commercial licence.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service software.
- Circumvent any technological protection measures or digital rights management systems.
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against users who violate these prohibitions, including suspending or terminating accounts.
7. Parental Consent & Child Safety
COPPA / DPDPA compliance. We take child safety seriously. Students under 13 must have their accounts created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. By creating a student profile, the parent/guardian confirms they have the authority to consent on the child's behalf.
Parental responsibility. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for monitoring their child's use of the Service, reviewing progress data, and ensuring the child uses the platform appropriately.
Data of minors. We collect only the minimum personal data necessary to provide the educational service to minor users. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle children's data.
Reporting concerns. If you believe a minor is being exposed to inappropriate content or conduct on the platform, please contact us immediately at legal@homeworkpractice.com.
8. Teacher & School Administrator Use
Institutional accounts. Teachers and school administrators who create institutional accounts represent and warrant that they have the authority to bind their school or institution to these Terms.
Student data. Teachers and administrators who access student data through the Service agree to use such data solely for legitimate educational purposes and in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).
Question bank. Questions and worksheets created by teachers using the platform remain the intellectual property of the creating teacher/institution. You grant us the licence described in Section 5 to host and deliver your content.
Assignment compliance. Teachers are responsible for ensuring that assessments and worksheets assigned to students comply with applicable educational standards and school policies.
9. Data & Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Third-Party Links & Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, resources, or curriculum boards (e.g., NCERT, Khan Academy, BBC Bitesize). These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party site. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.
We may integrate third-party services (e.g., payment processors, analytics providers) to operate the Service. Your use of such integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms and privacy policy.
11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
No educational guarantee. While we strive to provide high-quality educational content, we make no guarantee that use of the Service will result in specific academic outcomes, grades, or examination results.
As-is service. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Connectsum Social Networks Pvt. Ltd. and its directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Cap. In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to the Service exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) INR 1,000 (Indian Rupees One Thousand).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Connectsum Social Networks Pvt. Ltd. and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) any content you submit to the Service; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Termination
By you. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at legal@homeworkpractice.com or through your account settings. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
By us. We may suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if continued provision of the Service becomes commercially or legally impractical.
Effect of termination. Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 5, 6, 11, 12, 14, and 15 survive termination.
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Dispute resolution. Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by notifying us at legal@homeworkpractice.com. We will endeavour to resolve the dispute within 30 days. If unresolved, either party may pursue formal legal remedies.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top and notify registered users via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance.
